About Workgroups & Task Forces

Artisanal Collective Workgroups are mission-critical forums co-led by members of the Leadership Council. Each group tackles a high-priority pillar of artisan development, from cultural storytelling and AI learning to ethical governance, training, tourism, and 4Ps partnerships.

Our task forces operate under each workgroup as agile, project-specific teams — producing briefs, recommendations, and implementation tools that power our platform, shape our AI, and define future cultural protocols. Every group is supported by its own GPT assistant to help draft, document, and disseminate knowledge.

Current Workgroups:

  • Crafts & Intangible Cultural Heritage (ICH) — Design, quality, production, market readiness, cultural integrity, marketing, etc.

  • Storytelling & Media — Artisan-powered storytelling, cultural archives, Madame Planet & the Professor AI series

  • Human Development & Livelihood Pathways (AI Supported) — Life skills, income pathways, goal-setting, and personal agency enabled through culturally respectful, AI-supported learning and knowledge frameworks within the AEMS platform.

  • Community Tourism — Local tourism planning, training, infrastructure, and experience standards

  • Youth, Gender & Climate Resilience — Cross-cutting coordination on equity, participation, and climate-aware design across all programs

  • 4P Partnership Co-Investment— Public, Private, Philanthropic, and Civic partnership formation and co-investment

  • Governance & Cultural IP and Bias — Frameworks for AI governance, LLM ethics, community IP rights

Participation Model:

  • Workgroups operate primarily through asynchronous contributions supported by AI systems. Live meetings are limited and used only for validation and decision-making.

  • Each Workgroup has 1 Chair and 1-2 Co-Chairs.

  • Open to members of the Leadership Council and select invited experts from different sectors (i.e., government, private, UN agency, academia, development, etc.)

  • Time Commitment: Most members contribute 2–4 hours per month, primarily through short written or recorded inputs. Chairs and Co-Chairs may contribute 4–6 hours per month.
  • Task Forces are created by Workgroups as needed for delivery and documentation

Workgroup / Taskforce Tools:

  • Each Workgroup & Task Force has access to a private GPT assistant

  • GPT archives transcripts, drafts reports, and facilitates collaboration via mobile/voice
